  Does anyone feel like me???... am I obsessed.

  i don't know if something is wrong with me or with entire setup of things.

  i mean every time i think about wtbs i get angry and frustrated which is beyond the reason.

  and most interesting part is i'm not getting any better, looks like i'm going nuts every time somebody mention anything even remotely related to wtbs.

  I quit!

  I didn't have a lot of problems when I left. I was just so happy have it out of my life. However to this day I hardly look at a WT with angry. They are so full of crap. I think how you deal with it when you leave depends on a lot of things like if you were born into it, how long you were in and what type of witnesses you had to deal with when you were a JW. A person who was raise in had to go to school and not salute the flag, participate in school activities, avoid holiday, waste their weekends at meeting and in service etc. That is lot of pressure for a kid to deal with.

  Dont' be to hard on your girl friend for not understanding. A person who has not been in a cult has no idea what harm they can do. They tend to view it the same way as someone leaving the Baptist or Catholic church.

  Do you have Yahoo real estate up there. I have been looking at property there and have found it to be quite informative. I have got good results just by sticking a sign out in front. Target marketing in its most basic form. Sorry I can't help with any webpage info. All I can do is stare at them.

  hi folks whats up?.

  i grew up as a strict jw until my early 20's when an event happened that made me start thinking for myself, thank goodness.

  what i mean by strict was i think most of you will undertsand that i really believed in what i was doing, baptised at the age of 13, seriously considered bethal, pioneered and was offered to be a ministerial servent.

  Horror film shower scene!

  yes, i had one yesterday!

  my cats glanced towards the steps as did i. then a minute later, i hear another noise, and both cats run to the bottom of the steps looking up like they wanted to pounce.

  i was a little freaked, but ignored it.

  I can also attest to the normality of Ed Gruss. I once went to his house to get some info on the Watchtower from him when I first left the Witnesses. I think he was a professor of history out in Colton CA at that time, a very nice person. As for your fish. I think it needs a mental health professional to look at it or maybe a priest.

  People who don't like religion tend to blame everything wrong in the world on it. Ask yourself would the world be a better place if everyone thought like Joseph Stalin or the Red Chinese. People don't need religion to cause trouble but they do use it as a convenient excuse for their evil behavior sometimes.

  Jehovah's Witness Debate in Southern CA

  for anyone who lives in so cal and is interested, we are having a formal debate between a jw and a christian pastor.

  the topic of discussion will be the trinity.

  the event is wednesday, oct 5th, at 7pm at the rock church in san diego, ca.

  Some people like to have that type of debate with a witness but the problem I see is that JW usually walks away not realizing he lost. What I have seen in is a JW learning a few words of Greek then being arrogant enough to try to debate a professor of Greek who devoted his entire like to the subject. I mean only an idiot would spend a few hours reading about quantum physics then start debating Stephen Hawking on the subject. To me the WT is built on a false foundation. Christ coming in 1874, 1914, millions now living never dying and so forth. If they can't see the problem with things like that why spend hours debating the Bible with them.

  The Ouija Board" and "A Doorway to the Occult" and "Cults and the Occult"!!!!!! Im starting to wonder if its the book.

  By the titles of his books it sounds like this person is writing exposing the occult not promoting it and I don't think you have to worry about Ray Franz's book. I don't know what is going on in your house but I think worrying about books and objects attracting demon's is a hold over from your JW past. They are always worried about things like that. I have had a few things happen to me that at the time seemed very strange but in the end had a logical explanation. I enjoy reading books on haunted places but I don't really believe in such things. But who knows? I have stayed in a Hotel in Nevada that that is supposed to have ghosts. One time we got there the night after the people that investigate the paranormal were there. The owner told us that they had been up with their equipment all night trying to find evidence of the ghosts but didn't get any readings. Once before they expanded the hotel my wife and I stayed there alone. This was the first time we stayed there. We stopped to look at it and ran into the owner. I helped her carry her groceries in. She said a company had rented it for a party that evening. She said it wasn't really open for overnight guest but we could stay if we wanted to so we took her up on it. She told me her son was helping her fix the place up. Her son had been killed in a motorcycle accident at Lake Tahoe a few years earlier . Another time we stayed there with just one other couple. My friends wife kept thinking that someone was going to come in at night and murder us with axe. I would think that if anything ghosty were going to happen it would have happened on one of those occasions.

  Its getting close to Halloween maybe a ghost story tread would be fun.

  after this weekend i'm off to the usa for 3 weeks (central florida).. i'm already thinking how much i'll miss reading your posts.

  anyway, i'll keep reading until tuesday, then i'll see you all in november.. i've been to florida before & i'll do the roller coasters etc in the main theme parks - anywhere else you think i should visit?

  Rising gas prices, field service, meetings

  i recalled the other day how several years ago my wife tacked on over 60k miles in about a year and a half on one of our cars while pioneering.

  it still makes me ill thinking about it.

  then i began to wonder how the recent gas price surge is affecting normal field service activities and meeting attendance.

  I don't think it will effect the city areas because their home, KH and territory are all within a few mile radius of each other and they usually car pool for service (selling magazines and books). But I do know one thing, if I were still a JW I would be using it as an excuse not to go out.
